SAFETY TECHNICIAN

Vector is now accepting resumes to fill Safety Technician position(s) at various experience levels. Vector is looking for organized, experienced, self-reliant, energetic, technically oriented people to carry out the exciting and diverse tasks in support of the FAA Airport Technology Research and Development program at the William J Hughes Technical Center in Atlantic City, NJ.

Responsibilities:

· Understanding of FAA air traffic systems and tools required for analysis

· Developing hardware from proposal to project close out.

· Understanding Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and the ability to comply with them

· Ability to understand engineering drawings and test plans to facilitate the fabrication of prototypes regarding FAA contacts.

· Strong written and technical writing skills

· Strong Commutation skills, the ability to work with a project manager to produce technical reports and documents

· Build, test, and maintain equipment that is built according to ground plans and technical drawings.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s in Electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, electro-mechanical engineering, optical research, fabrication, and/or related field + 5 years’ experience

PROJECT MANAGER

Vector is now accepting resumes to fill Project Manager position(s) at various experience levels. Vector is looking for organized, experienced, self-reliant, energetic, technically oriented people to carry out the exciting and diverse tasks in support of the FAA Airport Technology Research and Development program at the William J Hughes Technical Center in Atlantic City, NJ.

Responsibilities:

· Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

· Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

· Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress

· Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques

· Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques in regard to FAA contact needs

· Perform risk management to minimize project risks

· Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

· Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels

· Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals

· Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis

· Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members

· Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs

Requirements:

· Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills

· Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience

· 4 years of experience in airport safety or aviation related field

· Deep understanding of Government contracting and DCAA compliance. Use of PERT carts, Gantt charts, critical path analyses, etc.

AIRPORT TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH ANALYST 

Vector is now accepting resumes to fill Airport Technology Research Analyst position(s) at various experience levels. Vector is looking for organized, experienced, self-reliant, energetic, technically oriented people to carry out the exciting and diverse tasks in support of the FAA Airport Technology Research and Development program at the William J Hughes Technical Center in Atlantic City, NJ.

Responsibilities: 
  • Maintain information technology strategies 

  • Research and implement technological strategic solutions regarding specifications given by the FAA 

  • Direct technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects 

  • Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes 

  • Identify safety risk management regarding Unmanned Aircraft systems and a variety of aviation systems 

  • Maintain comprehensive case documentation within specification provided by the FAA 

 

Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Technical, Engineering, Computer science, or Aviation Preferred) + 5 years of experience in airport management, operations, or airport design.  

  • Extremely organized with strong time-management skills. Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills 

  • Experience writing technical requirements in accordance to government contracting  

  • Experience writing and conducting test plans 

  • Detail oriented, analytical, inquisitive, creative mindset 

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively 

  • Provide expert knowledge in FAA orders and Notices, Pilot Aeronautical Information Manuals (AIM), and Advisory Circulars (ACs).

  • Provide expert Knowledge regarding Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), Urban Air Mobility Vehicles (UAM)
