Collections Specialist

As a Collections Specialist, your primary responsibility will focus on engaging past due accounts and collecting payments. In addition to core collections responsibilities, this role will also provide support for incoming customer service calls as needed. This role requires recent experience performing skip tracing and using timeboxing methods to manage research efficiency. The ideal candidate enjoys digging into details, uncovering hard-to-find information, and solving problems to drive successful recovery outcomes. We are looking for a highly motivated, competitive individual who consistently exceeds KPIs through disciplined, results driven- collection efforts. This is a fully remote, full-time position. We are seeking candidates who are available during standard business hours, Monday through Friday.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Make outbound phone and email efforts to collect on past due invoices

  • Perform skip-tracing using internal and external research tools

  • Apply timeboxing strategies based on account balance to maximize efficiency

  • Accurately document all activity and account updates in the CRM to ensure complete, timely, and compliant records

  • Assist with incoming customer service calls as needed, providing timely and professional support to address questions or resolve issues

 

Supporting Responsibilities:

  • Gain a working knowledge of aviation industry terminology and business practices through ongoing on-the-job training

  • Maintain Vector’s collection success rate by applying established methods and customer service standards to meet and exceed goals

  • Perform research on accounts, using available company records and internet resources

  • Employ verbal and written communication skills to respond to customer service inquiries and collect from accounts in a timely fashion, while maintaining a positive and professional rapport with all clients

  • Collaborate with team members to find greater efficiency, new methods, or process improvements to bring in more revenue and find success as a group – Vector is all about teams working to achieve greater outcomes

  • Solve problems quickly and create sustainable resolutions

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years collections experience

  • Recent experience with skip tracing tools and techniques

  • Proven ability to apply timeboxing strategies based on account balance

  • Proficient with MS Office 365 suite

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail

  • Excellent multitasker that can prioritize as needed and adapt to changes in workflow

  • An analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills

  • A team-player attitude that puts the goals of the company, department or team before their own

  • Ability to work standard business hours, Monday through Friday.
