ASSOCIATE PRODUCT OWNER

At Vector, you will help to define, prioritize, and schedule our Software Engineering Team’s work as they create our suite of next-generation products. You will interact with stakeholders from every part of our business to understand which software innovations will deliver the most value. Working closely with our Product and Software Engineering Directors, you will help us turn our great ideas into great software. Your contributions will enable our software team to iterate efficiently and keep Vector on top of its market by building on its competitive advantages.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as an Associate Product Owner working with 1-2 scrum teams

  • Refine Epics, Features and Stories in collaboration with stakeholders and scrum team(s)

  • Write and refine story descriptions and acceptance criteria

  • Create UI mockups and wireframes that clarify written story requirements

  • Participate in monthly Product Roadmap meetings with the Product Steering Committee

  • Ensure the Product Backlog reflects organizational priorities

  • Support strategic initiatives such as product discovery and competitor analysis

  • Assist in the creation of sprint pre-plans and in project planning for larger, more complex technical undertakings

  • Be a member of an agile software development team, participating in all sprint ceremonies

  • Become a subject matter expert on Vector software features, functions, and data; and how they all contribute to the company’s unique value proposition to airports

Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of equivalent Product Owner work experience, Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) preferred

  • 3-4 years working as part of an Agile software development team, preferably using a Scrum framework

  • One year of experience working with a product backlog using a tool such as Jira, Rally, PivotalTracker or Microsoft Azure DevOps

  • Demonstrated ability to write clear, accurate stories including story descriptions and acceptance criteria. Working knowledge of Gherkin preferred

  • Business analysis skills including data, process, and workflow analysis

  • Strong MS Office suite skills, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook

  • Solid understanding of Agile guiding principles and commitment to the Agile mindset.

  • Available to work during core hours 10 AM EST - 4 PM EST

DEBT COLLECTION LEAD - B2B

We need a driven and assertive, professionally trained collection lead. You must know how to collect business bad debt in the US and abroad, while having previous experience as an expert in the industry. You will identify, leverage, and apply your debt collection skillset to compel airlines and aircraft operators to pay their past due balances.

Responsibilities:
  • Collect past due balances on business-to-business accounts while adhering to internal policies

  • Including initiating contact with customers to determine positive intent in resolving delinquent balances on commercial (business to business) loans

  • Current, relevant knowledge on both domestic (US) and foreign laws regarding debt collection

  • Ability to quickly identify customers with negative intent to resolve the delinquency and prepare recommendations for proceeding with litigation

  • Draft realistic, carefully constructed payment plans, including payment terms for late-stage delinquencies

  • Inspect and track clients' adherence to their updated obligations

  • Identifying deviations from predetermined payment plans to stop recurrent non-compliance

  • Calling and emailing defaulters to restate their dues

  • Locating fugitive defaulters through telephonic and desktop investigations

  • Maintain an updated, exhaustive documentation trail with clear and concise collection documents, system notes and delinquency payment arrangement details

  • Collaborate with cross functional business teams including Customer Service, Finance, and Legal to resolve issues and keep accounts current

  • Working with Director of Operations and the Director of Finance & Administration to ensure accuracy in reporting of negative balance, interest rates, payoff amounts etc

  • Investigating and working with Vector’s Director of Finance and Administration on timely legal action, if needed

  • Prepare reports and analysis on the status of credit and collection matters; provide regular updates to management on these matters

Requirements:
  • US Citizen or fully authorized to work in the US

  • Fluent in spoken and written English

  • The workday must be started no later than 7 am EST to support Vector’s Africa leads and commitments. 

  • Africa is on average 7 hours ahead of EST during Daylight Savings Time and 8 hours ahead of the US during Standard Time.

  • Associate degree or a more advanced degree

  • Receipt of a formally recognized finance qualification is ideal

  • 5+ years’ experience in commercial collections (business to business, not consumer)

  • Demonstrable history of gainful debt collection experience

  • Familiar with current, debt-related legal provisions both domestically and internationally

  • Comprehension of direct/indirect lending procedures

  • Knowledge of relevant rules and regulations (FDCPA, FCRA, SCRA etc.)

  • 1-2 years project management using software tools l like Team Gantt and Azure Dev Ops

  • Experience in Agile methodologies preferred

  • 2+ years' experience with basic Accounting and respective software tools

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, CRM systems, and Project Management systems

FULL STACK .NET SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

At Vector, you will be part of a team of experienced developers working to implement our next-generation products. You will be a key participant in exploring and guiding our path as we embrace scalable, cloud-first solutions. You will have a crucial role in developing cutting-edge solutions and turning our great ideas into great software.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deploy Azure-hosted C# .NET apps/microservices

  • Design new and enhance existing JavaScript/Angular front-end applications

  • Migrate existing applications and features to Vector’s next-gen architecture

  • Work with product owners and stakeholders to resolve outstanding bugs

  • Be a member of an Agile software development team, participating in stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings

Requirements:
  • 4-year degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering/etc. or equivalent work experience

  • Experience developing web applications with Angular, React, or similar JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks

  • Experience with compiled app development such as C/C++, Java, Swift, or .NET

  • Able to be available and work during core hours 11 AM EST - 4 PM EST

  • Authorized to work in US
